Our ideas are not always welcomed with open arms. Sometimes, we fear ourselves. While other times, our nearest and dearest say things that make us put creative blocks on our dreams. If our gut says we should do something, it is probably because we should do it. In those instances, it is important to trust yourself and know that we are capable of more than our mind lets us believe.
Remember to stop listening to the negative voices and be a child again in search for pursuing your ultimate dreams. So, grab a pen and a piece of paper and write down what you want to do if resources, money, self-limitations, other’s opinions and voices, fears of rejection or failures weren’t in the equation.
Going after your dreams can become a rollercoaster of emotion. You should know that it is going to be a challenge. If it’s easy, you probably don’t want it anyways.
Don’t let yourself be talked out of things because you know yourself better than anybody else does. What is in your heart is there for a reason. You’ve been growing passions ever since you were little and passing those to others and giving them out to the world must be the most rewarding feeling there is.
Give attention to it. It doesn’t have to be a job or a hobby if you’re not comfortable bringing it to the next level yet. Make it something that you have a heart for.
Don’t give someone else the option of completing tasks that you find exciting. If it’s a challenge, it is meant for you. You have the drive, motivation, and perseverance. If you’re willing to give it a try, you can also do it wholeheartedly. So, believe in yourself. You’re capable of amazing things and definitely bigger ones that your mind fools you to believe.
Embrace the journey. No goal happens overnight. It’s okay that it is not going to be smooth sailing. The coolest part about being on a journey or a mission – whatever you want to call it – is realizing that things are going to be OK. The dreams always remain at your heart no matter how difficult the time you are going through on the outside. They can even serve you for more fire and resilience from within.
Know that life rarely goes as planned. We don’t necessarily have the power to control all the variables, but what we can control is our response, our attitude, and our approach.
Even within every single rejection, there is an opportunity. Rejection is essentially not what it stands for but it is a redirection of your path. The sooner that you get this fear of failure out of your head, that’s when things are going to start moving onward. Fear also is not what it stands for either. It is all just learning and growing.
Being successful comes with placing yourself at vulnerable places out of the comfort zone of things that are known to you. It is the margin where you can grow most exponentially.
